The name Tvinnefossen originates from the river falls that twist
and fall in the same way that you twine wool. This waterfall is
known as one of only a few in Northern Europe where people can pass
under the waterfall itself. It is a very interesting feeling to see
and 'feel' the water above and in front of you.
To log this Earthcache visit the Tvinnefossen (please be careful,
slippery stones) and answer the following question:

Navnet Tvinnefossen har sin opprinnelse i at elva vrir og faller på
samme måten som man tvinner ullen når spinner den. Fossen er kjent
som én av få fosser i Nord-Europa der folk kan passere under selve
fossen. Det er en veldig spennende følelse å se og 'føle' vannet
over og foran seg.
