Geocache Description:

Linvågvatnet is the largest freshwater lake on the island of Tustna. The lake is in a "U"-shape and the peninsula-like tip offers an outdoor camp, often used by children and families. From the cache location you can see parts of the north side of the lake, but the cache is only a half minute walk from the road.

Linvågvatnet from cache location

The Linvåg lake (Linvågvatnet) lies beneath the Tustna mountain of Singsetten and not fra from the peaks "Knubben", "Jørenvågssalen".

Tustna is an island and a former municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The administrative centre was Gullstein. The island is located in the present-day municipality of Aure. The island lies between the islands of Golma (to the west) and Stabblandet and Solskjel (to the east).

History
Tustna was originally a part of the municipality of Edøy. A meeting held on 17 March 1863 decided to build a church on Tustern (which was the name of the island at that time) and thereby gain status as a separate parish. A royal resolution of 3 May 1873 directed that Tustern be separated from Edøy to create a separate municipality. The new municipality had an initial population of 1,179. On 1 January 2006, Tustna was merged into the municipality of Aure. At the end, Tustna had a population of 1,006.

The municipality was named after the island of Tustna. The Old Norse form of the name in unknown (the name of the island is first mentioned on a Dutch map from 1623: "Toester"). It might be derived from the word þústr which means "staff" or "stick", and in that case it is probably referring to the form of one of the mountains on the island.
