Hauakaia er ei ei gamal steinkai som går rett ut frå naustrekka idet ein kjem køyrande inn til Norddal. Namnet kjem av garden som ligg bak naustrekka som blir kalla "Haua", i betydinga haugen.
Hauakaia is an old stone pier which is clearly visible as you drive into Norddal. The name Haua is derived from the Norwegian name for hill; "haug", which is the name of the farm directly behind the row of boathouses and the pier.
