The cache is located in Turtagrø, some hundred meters from Turtagrø Hotell.
From the cache you can see Store Skagastølstind – 2405 meters above sea level.
Turtagrø is a place with traditions. Turtagrø and Hurrungane have traditions dating back to the 1800’s, and are known as the place of birth for mountain sports in Norway. William Cecil Slingsby from Britain climbed the Store Skagastølstind in 1876, which created an increased interest in the Hurrungane as a climbing area.
Today,Turtagrø continues to be a center for climbing and steep mountain skiing.
