Blattnicksele är en småort i Sorsele kommun vackert belägen vid Vindelälven och med anor från 1700-talet. Namnet är sprunget ur samiskan och betyder grovt översatt "ett brett sel med platt land på ömse sidor".

Blattnicksele is a village in the Sorsele municipality beautifully located at Vindelälven and dating back to the 1700s. The name originates from the Sami language and roughly translated means "a wide promontory with flat land on both sides"
