If you aren't going to post a picture of yourself AT THE TOP of the Stratosphere, PLEASE DO NOT BOTHER LOGGING THIS CACHE! The whole point of this virtual cache was *and still is* to get you to the top so you can see the beautiful scenery, not drive by and snap a photo.
I don't care what your excuse is, whether it's the cost or the weather or afraid of heights or time or anything else. If you don't post a photo of yourself at the top, you don't fulfill the "sign the log" requirements and you don't get to log the cache. I WILL delete logs. There are plenty of other caches in the Las Vegas area to find.

Your mission (should you choose to accept it) is to pay the elevator-access fee, ride to the top of one of the tallest buildings west of the Mississippi, and post a photo in your log of your visit to the top! Be creative with your photo: show off your GPS receivers, capture some of the view in the background, hold up signs, etc. Make sure all geocachers are front and center and that I can tell you're at the top. :)
Each geocacher logging this cache must post their OWN picture. If you and a friend go up and have your picture taken together but have separate geocaching accounts, each of you must post the picture. If there is no picture of you at the top included with a log, it will probably be deleted.
Recently (2023), something has changed with photos in the on-site geocaching.com Message system. Maybe it's a coding change, or maybe phones are so good that there are too many megapixels. But now they come out horribly pixelated, to the point that you can't even tell what's in the picture. So PLEASE post photos only in your log. Thank you.

HISTORICAL NOTE: I originally asked for one of the phone numbers of the outdoor booths, but both outdoor phone booths were removed for a New Years Eve 2002 concert held here. They were never replaced, and now the rides have taken over the outdoor platforms. Then I asked for the phone number of the one of the indoor payphones, but as of mid-2012 those are gone too. Progress!

If your log does not include a valid photo, I reserve the right to delete your log! As with most virtual caches, you are expected to PHYSICALLY visit the site (which is the TOP of the Stratosphere tower) to log a find. Internet searches and other 'remote' methods of locating the information do not qualify. Also, no "retroactive" finds based on visits before the cache was created (though at this point, I'd be impressed :) ).
And DO NOT use the cheesy photo background at the base of the building... I've seen it. :)
