Geocache Description:

Have you ever wondered how Goat's Eye got its name? Now you will find out. The best view is from the Sunshine Village ski hill parking lot at the coordinates provided. To earn this cache, email us a picture of the "eye" with your GPS included.

There are no restrictions to driving up to this parking lot anytime of the year and taking a look. On a busy Saturday or Sunday in winter, the Sunshine parking crew may try to guide you into a parking spot but have no fear you can drive on and temporarily stop at the coordinates until you find the cache. The Goat's eye is a natural arch which was formed by water. It is located on Eagle mountain.

We are blown away that we were chosen for this honour. We are proud of our Red Deer caches but when given the chance to place a virtual we had to think bigger. We decided to pick a site that is generally off limits for a traditional cache due to National park and lease hold rules. Enjoy this cool rock formation. We've skied here for our whole lives without knowing about it.
