Geocache Description:

A quick turnoff on the road from the foothills to the Giant Forest area of Sequoia National Park.

This virtual is located near Hospital Rock in the foothills section of Sequoia National Park. The cache coordinates will take you to a Native American site. To log the cache, email the answers to the following questions:

1. What did preparing acorns give friends time to do?
2. In what three ways were was acorn mush prepared?
3. What Western Mono tribe member is pictured sitting with traditional Indian baskets?

These questions have been updated to fit the new sign at the site, replaced sometime in 2012.

For bonus points, look at the amazing pictographs about 50 feet behind you, if you are looking at the sign. In addition to being an acorn preparation site, this place is called Hospital Rock. Imagine what that must have meant to the native peoples. Have fun!
