A virtual cache should be both educational and fun. I hope this is both. In order to count this cache, email me the answers to the questions below, but do not post them to the cache.
The above coordinates should take you to the Museum and Missile Park at White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico. The museum and park are open to the public. To enter the military installation, you will have to stop at the gate and show a valid drivers license, proof of insurance, and proof of registration. There is plenty of parking for RVs at the museum. The Museum is open from 8-4 on Monday-Friday and 10-3 on Saturday. It is closed on holidays. This cache is only a three mile drive from Highway 70 between Las Cruces and Alamogordo.
White Sands Missile Range has been open for over 50 years and covers over 3200 square miles. Over the years, over 42,000 missiles and rockets have been fired here. The missile park contains over 50 of the rockets and missiles tested on the missile range.
One of the first missiles tested here was the German build V-2 rocket developed during World War II. The V-2 rocket has been returned to White Sands and is now on permanent display. That alone should be worth the visit. You can easily spend several hours at the park and museum.
