This is the story of old
times.
BAJ (Borås Alvesta
Järnväg) was opened for traffic 1902. On this place was a
linemens cottage (banvaktsstuga) situated. The linemen (banvakten)
was responsible to check the line for a distance of a couple
of km beetwen each train passed. This particular linemen was
also responsible for the nearby railway crossing. If you check the
picture you maybe first not understand were it is taken but
look once more and you will recognize some parts. The figures
will help you.
