Placed near "the shellbanks in Uddevalla" - a geological attraction.
A standard container with traditional stuff.The area surrounding the cache, but not in the area close to the cache is rather steep. Please be careful, especially with children. Do not miss to have a closer look at the more than 10.000 years old shellbanks and the museum. The exhibition shows the origins of the unique shellbanks, a remain from the last glacial period. Subfossils from more than 103 species have been found. Due to the lime-rich soil there is an unique flora and fauna in the area. "The shell hills are rightly counted among the greatest of Bohusläns wonders, since they are located on dry land, in some places more than a kilometre from the sea. These shell hills consist of shells from Seashells and Mussels, which are aggregated here in such numbers, that you may wonder how it is that so many lives have existed in the world."
